Update 9-28-11:
I have more pics! All five pups are still doing marvelous! They are as sweet as sugar and cute as buttons! I have three girls and two boys. Two of the three girls are promised to a home and the other girl and the two boys are still waiting to be claimed. They are almost two weeks old! They all have beautiful coats. There are three lilacs, one agouti, and one black. The black, agouti, and one of the lilacs all have various spotting on them. The pied lilac, the pied black, and a solid lilac are girls, and the agouti and the other solid lilac are boys. :)
Koa Felicity Jolene Frijoles Anastasia
I've given each of them names, simply to help me keep track of them. If you adopt them, then by all means, please feel free to change the name to whatever you want! I've just given them temporary names while they are with me to help me out a bit. :)
Felicity and Jolene have been "spoken for", so they are not available for adoption. :) I am thinking of keeping Anastasia for myself, and am debating whether or not I want to split Sebastian from Penelope and put Koa and Frijoles with him. If I get no further interest, then I will probably do that and let the litter Penelope is carrying be her last.
Koa and Frijoles are the funniest little boys! Both are very active and curious and love to cuddle on my hand. They are constantly cracking me up. ;) Koa's name is a shortened form of "Koala" my fave animal. ;) His color was very Koala-ish so inamed him Koa. Frijoles' name means "beans" in spanish. :D hehe my favorite food. ;)

Update 1-2-12
Just a small update on litter number one.
Felicity and Jolene- Both of these girls went to their new home back in late October. They both grew up to be lovely, beautiful girls!
Felicity and Jolene- Both of these girls went to their new home back in late October. They both grew up to be lovely, beautiful girls!
Anastasia- Anastasia I ended up keeping for myself, and she stayed with Penelope while Penelope raised litter #2, and she was a GREAT little helper! She is one of the sweetest and tamest gerbils I've ever owned!
Frijoles and Koa- I currently still have these two boys, but they are going home later this week, to be 1st grade class pets! I'm so excited for these two boys and the impression they will make for those kids! It was a hard decision to give up these two boys, but I decided it was best for them. I decided to have another litter or two with Penelope and Sebastian, meaning I would have to try and re-introduce BOTH of them to Sebastian, once I was ready to separate him and Penelope again. Introducing two adult gerbils to another adult gerbil is never a good idea, as the two will gang up on the other gerbil, so it's in all the gerbils' best interest to re-home the two boys. I know they're going to have a great life! :)

Litter Number 2 *All sold
On Wednesday, October 26th, Penelope gave birth to 5 more beautiful pups. This time, with Anastasia by her side instead of Sebastian. In this litter were FOUR boys, and one little girl. Anastasia did a great job helping her mother raise the young'uns and keeping them in the nest. Penelope was MUCH calmer this time around and did such an amazing job! I was so proud of her! In this litter, we had two agouti, two lilac, and an argentene cream. One of the agoutis was spotted, and one of the lilacs (the female of the litter) was spotted as well.
Otis Ranger Seymour Asaph Celeste
Update 1-2-12;
All of the little guys (and gal) of this litter are either promised to homes or in homes. Ranger, Asaph, and Celeste have already gone home, and Otis and Seymour will go to their new home this week! :)

Litter Number 3
Yesterday morning, Sunday, February 26th, I woke up to find Penelope with 3 little young ones, and still in labor. I had to get ready for church, and by the time I was ready and left for church, she had had 6. When I came home, I found out she had given birth to 8! I couldn't believe it. All eight are doing well. Looks like there are four who are either agouti/black, and four who are either argentene or lilac. Can't wait to see their fur grow in and to find out genders and name them all. I have a couple people lined up for gerbils, So I can only take a couple more reservations. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested in a pair from this litter! Thank you! :)
Update 3-5-12;
Penelope, Sebastian, and company are all doing very well! Their colors are showing and their genders are decided, and they're growing like weeds! Turns out their are four boys and four girls. I have 3 pied blacks (1 male, 2 females), 1 agouti (male), 1 pied argentene golden (male), 1 argentene golden (female), 1 spotted lilac (female), and 1 lilac (male). They all have names as well. As I've mentioned before, the names are just to help me keep up with them and for record-keeping. You are more than wlecome, and encouraged to change the names should you adopt them. :) Enjoy the pictures! There are lots more pictures on the "pictures and videos" page.
